You'll grin when you hear "Four Corners," a bouncy Nashville-style country song listing all the places Jews can be found. "Chances are if you're a Jew, they're from your city, too," Craig concludes with just the right twang. Other strong cuts include "Family Tree," a touching waltz about Taubman's ancestry and the reflective "Hello God." John Lithgow has just the right amount of the "zany factor" to successfully and comfortably crossover into children's music. This spirited collection of whimsical songs features a 30-piece swing band as they romp through some jazzy tunes with ingenious lysics. Highlights include the silly "From The Indies To The Andes In His Undies," The Danny Kaye inspired "The Inchworm," "A - You're Adorable," and the very swingin' "Everybody Eats Whey They Come To My House." Pete Seeger's influence can be heard as John plays banjo and sings the classic "I Had A Rooster." Though only a few of the songs were actually written for children, they all possess that child-like charm. Age focus: 7 and up. |
