1. One World
All the fish in the ocean
All the birds in the sky
All the trees in the forest
All the clouds floating by
All the boys and the girls
All the squid and the squirrels
Ought to know it's one world we share
One world what a world
One world what a wonderful world
One world what a world
What a wo-wo-wonderful world
All the doers and the dreamers
All the young and the old
All the learners and the teachers
All the shy and the bold
All the Buddhists and the Christians
All the Moslems all the Jews
Ought to know it's one world we share
One world what a world
One world what a wonderful world
One world what a world
What a wo-wo-wonderful world

2. Four Corners
They come from Minsk, Pinsk
Prague and Hague
Cologne and Bologne
Babylon, Teheran, Aswan
'Bout every place that's known
They come from Hong Kong, Tokyo
Baghdad, Buffalo
Chances are if you're a Jew
They're from your city too
chorus
From the four corners
My people gave birth
From the four corners
From the ends of the earth
From every country city province state or town
The Jewish people can found
They come from Berlin, Michigan
Vienna and Sienna
Baghdad, Leningrad
And good old Timbuktu
They come from Warsaw, Arkansas
Worcester, Kiev, Montreal
Chances are if you're a Jew
They're from your city too
Some Jews speak
Yiddish, Finnish, Spanish, Polish
German, English, Swedish, Danish
Tagalog (if you are Filipino)
Arabic, Persian, Russian
In the holy land the mama lashon
And there are those that even speak Ladino
chorus
Some Jews eat
Hot dogs, hamburgers
Sushi and Sashimi
Couscous, yaprach
Flanken, kreplach
There's a dish that's new
Some Jews wear
Blue Jeans, kimonos
Serapes and lederhosen
Chances are if you're a Jew
It's nothing new to you
From the four corners
My people gave birth
From the four corners
From the ends of the earth
From every country, city, province, state or town
The Jewish people can be
Just like you and just like me
The Jewish people can be found

3. Family Tree
I kindly beg your indulgence
As I read from my family tree
It's a story that's constantly growing
And it starts long before I was me
It begins way back in the beginning
With my forefathers numbering three
There was Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
And I'm proud to be their progeny
They were joined by the matriarchs Sarah
Rebecca, Rachel and Le-ah
It's a family tree that I'm proud of
And it traces how I came to be-a
chorus
L'dor vador - in every generation
L'dor vador - in every location
L'dor vador - we have an obligation
To creation to make a donation
L'dor vador
Well thousands of years have since flown by
And my family sort of lost touch
And except for the those previously mentioned
We don't seem to remember too much
I know that my Zayde and Bubbe
They were born in a small Russian Shtetl
My Bubbe she worked as a Bubbe
And my Zayde he worked as a peddle -"er"
So they packed up their bags for this country
Known as the United States
And they dreamed of the Golden Medeena
And they dreamed that good luck would await
chorus
It was somewhere over the rainbow
It was somewhere over the sea
That my Zayde and Bubbe had mommy
And my mommy and daddy had me
What I learned from my Bubbe and Zayde
From my mommy and daddy too
Is a lesson I'm teaching my children
It's a lesson that's both old and new
I've learned this fact about history
That all people are somehow connected
We all need to care for each other
All people they must be respected

4. If Wishes Could Come True
If I could be anything
If wishes could come true
The sun is what I'd like to be
'Cause sun makes light so we can see
If I could be anything
The sun is what I'd like to be
If I could be anything
If wishes could come true
The clouds are what I'd like to be
'Cause clouds can block the sun you see
If I could be anything
The clouds are what I'd like to be
chorus
That is what I want to be
Really really want to be
If I could be anything
If wishes could come true
The rain is what I'd like to be
'Cause rain can wash the clouds away
And clouds can block the sun you see
If I could be anything
The rain is what I'd like to be
If I could be anything
If wishes could come true
A river's what I'd like to be
'Cause rivers soak up all the rain
And rain can wash the clouds away
And clouds can block the sun you see
If I could be anything
The river's what I'd want to be
chorus
If I could be anything
If wishes could come true
Me myself yeah I I'd be,
'Cause I can imagine all these things
The rivers soaking up the rain
The rain that washes the clouds away
And the clouds that block the sun you see
If I could be anything
Yeah me is what I'd wanna be!
I can be anything
If I will it it's no dream

5. A Candle In The Middle
I'm a candle in the middle
The plain old average middle
It's plain to see I'm plain old me
What a boring place to be
Not darkest not the lightest
Not shiniest or brightest
I'm a candle in the middle
In the middle you'll find me
chorus
I want to shine shine bright
To shine shine in the night
My little candle light
I want to shine all night
Compared to all the rest
I'm not the worst I'm not the best
I barely make a flicker
I wish my light was bigger
Not really here not really there
I'm not quite anywhere
I'm just a candle in the middle
A mediocre place to be
chorus
Wake up and seize the light
You are the sizzle in our night
A light in shining armor
With out a doubt a real charmer
You are the shamash man
A real big wick phenomenon
Your light is so divine
You really ought to let it shine
I'm in a very cool location
I'm on a firm foundation
I'm glad I'm in the middle
It's such a central place to be
A gift to young and old
That grows a thousand fold
I'm glad I'm in the middle
And I am glad that I am me
I'm gonna shine shine bright
To shine shine in the night
My little candle light
Is gonna shine all night

6. If Only
If I only knew then
The things I know now
I think I would change things
Be different somehow
I'd eat crunchy ice cream
But not quite as quick
I'd nibble each nugget
I'd love every lick
I'd swim in the winter
Go skiing in spring
I'd fish and I'd fly
I'd sail and I'd sing
I'd build giant castles
And play in the ocean
I'd make tons of noise
I'd cause a commotion
I'd smile at the sun
And the sun would smile back
I'd love what I have
I'd accept what I lack
I'd climb taller mountains
And pick fewer fights
I'd reach for my dreams
I'd climb higher heights
I'd have lots to say
But listen twice as much
I'd smile much more often
I'd be more in touch
I'd take more days off
But spend more days "on"
I'd cherish the sunset
I'd celebrate the dawn
I'd catch lots of rainbows
But drop fewer balls
I'd throw away grudges
I'd run in more halls
If I only knew then
The things I know now
I think I would change things
Be different somehow

7. Fixing Up The World
If you want to get ahead
You best you better use your head
For if you don't you'll find instead
Your gonna fall behind
Be a mensch and act refined
You really ought to use your mind
You can't go down a path that's blind
Or you will fall behind
There is a ton of work that must be done
Fixing up the world Tikkun Olam
There's no free ticket friend and no free ride
It's up to you you can't run you can't hide
Respect your parents
Greet your friends
Respect the old
And make amends
Which means that you should never
Ever never hold a grudge
Do acts of loving kindness
Such as helping those with blindness
Maybe visiting the sick
Or helping brides
Whose dress got smudged
We're not talking hammers screws or nails
It's something more that really tips the scales
It's how you act and what you think and do
It's fixing up the world
Fixing up the world
Fixing up the fixing up the fixing up the world
One step forward head up watch your back
Clear your mind and always stay on track
There's no free ticket friend and no free ride
It's up to you you can't run you can't hide
No you can't hide you cannot hide
No place too hide....
If I'm gonna get ahead
I best I better use my head
For if I don't I'll find instead
I'm gonna be behind

8. That's What Love's About
I think it's time I show the world
What love is all about
I think it's time I show the world
What I have figured out
Maybe it's a secret
But I think I'll let it out
'Cause I think it's time I show the world
What love is all about
It's taking time to show you care
That's what love's about
It's being kind and playing fair
That's what love's about
It's a little hug a helping hand
That's what love's about
It's taking time to understand
That's what love's about
I think it's time I show the world
What love is all about
I think it's time I show the world
What I have figured out
Maybe it's a secret
But I think I'll let it out
'Cause I think it's time I show the world
Yes I think it's time I told the world
I think it's time I showed the world
What love is all about

9. My Mother Called Me A Name
My mother called me a name today
This awkward word I heard her say
My mother called me...His mother called him that name
It wasn't like any other word
I had heard what a word
My mother called me...His mother called him that name
chorus
Sticks and stones can break my bones
But names will never hurt me
But you can bet what momma said
Really did alert me
I did my chores I listened real well
I brushed my hair my teeth my dog not once did I yell
And mom still called me...His mother called him that name
I did my homework didn't whimper or whine
I even helped my dad cut back some bougainvillea vine
My momma called me...His mother called him that name
Of all the words that she could use
There's plain and simply no excuse
To choose a word that rhymes
With French and bench and trench and stench
chorus
My mother called me a name today
This awkward word I heard her say
My mother called me...His mother called him
My mother called me
My mother called me a...Mensch

11. Piece of The Dream
From the Jordan River to the Galilee
From Jerusalem to Tel Aviv
From the top of Masada to the Western Wall
You can feel it yes it's real
It's from Theodor Herzl to Ben Gurion
From Golda Meir the magic passes on
If you will it you will see
If you dream it
It can be
You hold a piece of the dream
Yes you do yes you do
You hold a piece of the dream
And it's a dream come true
A desert blooms a dream comes true
A homeland's built for me and you
If we will it it can be
If we dream it we will see
We hold a piece of the dream
Yes we do yes we do
We hold a piece of the dream
And it's a dream come true
Am Yisrael chai od avinu chai
We hold a piece of the dream
Yes we do yes we do
We hold a piece of the dream
And it's a dream come true

12. Hello God
Hello God are you out there
Haven't spoken in a while
I just wanted to say hello
Hello God are you out there
Haven't seen you in a while
There are some things that I thought you should know
Things have been great all right just so so
It's weird but you're often on my mind
I've got lot's to tell you and even more to ask you
So I hope God that you've got some time
School's kind of easy
I'm doing pretty well
But I think that I need a new friend
'Cause Shira's dad was transferred
He got this new job
So is there someone that you'd recommend
So I'm out in our garden
Which is mostly full of flowers
I'm helping my dad to weed
And I thought to myself
Hey where could they come from
I mean flowers could they really come from seed
My parents are planning
A party this weekend
It's a 50th celebration
'Cause that's how long Gramma
And Grampa been married
And I'm in charge of the decorations
I'm not sure that you're out there
But I feel you inside
And it's something that's real nice to know
Hello God are you out there
Haven't seen you in a while
There are some things that I thought you should know
