Dear Mr. & Mrs. Koch,

Freddy is a good, well rounded boy. He is interested in school and seems to be having a happy, enjoyable time here. His attitude is excellent. He comes each day eager and anxious to get into the day's work. He is a good worker and tries to do his best at all times. He willingly contributes to group work and takes a participating part in all activities. He has plenty of pep and energy but has been quite successful in channeling it in the right direction. He tries very hard to maintain good self control. He is always obedient and has cooperated with me in every way. He has made friends and is well liked. He has been readily accepted by the group.

Freddy is learning to be more independent in his work. He listens to and tries to follow directions. His work is generally carefully and neatly done. He will stay with his jobs until he has completed them. His is developing good habits of work. He is quite conscientious about school--it is serious business to him.

Freddy's handwork has been quite good. He is full of ideas and seems to be able to express them quite well on paper. He prints his name and write his numbers legibly. I am well satisfied with the progress he has made this year.

I feel that this boy is ready for reading and that he will enter his program with little difficulty. He has a good background of experiences and a desire to learn to read.

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with Freddy this year. Your interest and enthusiasm has been reflected in you son's attitude toward school. I have appreciated your cooperation and wish to thank you for it. It is a pleasure to know and work with parents of your type. Thank you.

Respectfully yours,

Norma Hillberg
