a note from dan zanes i'm a night owl and i have a lot of friends who are too. night owls seem to perk right up when the sun goes down. why is that? do we think we're going to miss out on something exciting? do we love having the world all to ourselves? whatever the reason, it's nice to have some music that fits the mood. hello lovers of the night. here is some night time music. you could also call it firefly music, shadow music, rainstorm music, bat music, streetlight music, dinner music, moon and stars music, flashlight music, or dream music. of course you can play it in the morning or in the afternoon (a fine idea!) and it should sound lively and lovely, but i think that this collection of songs will be particularly thrilling once the sun has set and the neighborhood has relaxed. sometimes when i'm listening to night time music i lie on my back in the middle of the floor and let the tunes and the stories take me on a trip. i hope that when you listen to this you can picture friends gathering at my house, joking, tuning instruments, trading ideas, writing in notebooks, eating all the food in the cupboards, and, somewhere along the line, playing these songs. we had a tremendous time making this music. i hope that you enjoy taking the journey with us. about the cd packaging the sixteen page cd package is
